Tips & Guidelines

Our team has put together a list of tips and guidelines to help you successfully partner up with Pro Sellers on Flyp, check it out:

1. Understand how Flyp works

Make sure you understand how your stuff is sold on Flyp by checking out our most frequently asked questions:

How does it work?

When do I get paid?

How much do I make?

2. Remember that you're always protected

You're always protected when working with Pro Sellers on Flyp. Not only are Pro Sellers carefully vetted, handpicked by our team and ID checked, but they are also backed by our Flyp Protection Policy. Additionally, you will get a free return of any unsold items after 90 days, learn more about our Unsold Items Policy.

3. Only send items in very good condition

Pro Sellers can't sell damaged items. A seemingly small stain on a $100 dress can render it unsellable. Make sure all items don't have any unmentioned damages, strong smells, or missing buttons/dysfunctional zippers. For shoes make sure they are in good condition and have good soles and insoles.

4. Pick the right Pro

Picking the right Pro to partner with is not about finding the lowest commission and the highest estimated lot resale value. It's about the Pro themselves, ask yourself: Which Pro do I feel most comfortable with? Which one seems to have previously sold items similar to mine? Feel free to check out Pro Sellers' selling profiles and reach out to prospective Pros to ask them any questions that can better help you find the right Pro for you.

5. Understand who Pro Sellers are

Pro Sellers are people just like you, they might have other jobs, a family, and chores to take care of. However, they are people with a special knack for selling used goods, they're really good at it and have the track record of sales to show for it. Pros love what they do, and while they do hold themselves to high standards of professionalism, it's always good to remember that they are normal people just like you, they're not perfect, but they will do their best to help you declutter and get the most value for your items.

6. Communicate with your Pro

Communication is key, really. At times, you may want to ask your Pro about something, perhaps you're worried about something, or you would like some clarity or updates on your lot. Don't hesitate to let your Pro know your preferences, don't hesitate to communicate a problem if one arises, Pros are always happy to explain and address any issues for you. If you don't let them know, they can't fix it. If you let them know, they will.

7. Trust your Pro, let them handle it

When you partner with a Pro, trust them to do the job. It's not the easiest thing to do,  but remember that the main reason you joined Flyp was that you didn't want to "Deal with it". Let the Pro deal with it, they always have your best interest at heart. Remember that they are not paid upfront, they work on commission, what's good for you is good for them.

8. Keep it on Flyp

In order to keep you and your Pros protected, we require that all communication takes place on Flyp. Taking the conversation outside Flyp will cause the loss or any protection guarantees and return policies and may cause account restrictions.

9. Reach out when you need help

You're never alone on Flyp, our team has your back. If you ever run into a problem or if you need any help with anything at all, you can reach out to us directly through support@joinflyp.com and we'll do our best to get back to you within 24 hours to help you out.
